Manual handling refresher
First Aid Pro is a Registered Training Provider (RTO) ID: 40407, and we pride ourselves on providing high-quality training with experienced and friendly facilitators. The Manual Handling refresher/update is conducted at our Adelaide CBD training centre. The training centre is fully equipped with hoists, hospital beds, slide sheets and everything needed to refresh/update manual handling skills and knowledge. With hands-on practice and practical examples, we aim to make this course informative, fun and enjoyable.
This course is specifically intended for nurses, health workers, university students, support workers and aged care workers who wish to update their manual handling skills and knowledge as part of their annual competencies for healthcare workers.
There are no pre-requisites for this course however, it is best suited to participants who have completed some manual handling training in the past 3 years and are looking to refresh/update their skills for the healthcare industry.
Prior to attending the face-to-face course, you will be required to complete the pre-course reading.
The pre-reading material is emailed at the time of booking. The reading is a self-paced, self-directed, and a required component of the course.

The face-to-face training is a two-hour, hands-on practical delivered at our CBD training centre (see below).

This course is a non-accredited course and is intended only as a refresher or update to the skills and knowledge required to recognise potentially hazardous manual tasks, and then to prepare for and complete those tasks in a safe manner. This course is specifically aimed at the requirement for nurses, health workers, university students, support workers and aged care workers who are required to complete annual competencies as part of their Continuing Professional Development however, it can be applied to all workers involved in manual handling tasks.
All students who participate in this course will be issued with a Statement of Attendance. First Aid Pro aims to issue all Statements digitally via email, on the day that you participate the course is successfully completed(subject to certain conditions). In order to issue your Statement, we need to have received your completed pre-course reading assessment and verified your USI (unique student identifier) before the course commences. Failure to provide this information may result in a delay in issuing your Statement.
All students undertaking this courses are required to provide the training organisation with their USI (unique student identifier). USI’s are generated by the commonwealth government for the purpose of maintaining a secure online personal training record. It is free to apply for a USI and applications take less than five minutes.
