Sharon saw the need for training after attending emergencies at work and noticed that those who had assisted in bringing the patient in, whether that was a family member, friend, work colleague or stranger- felt they had not done enough to aid the recovery of the casualty. She saw the need for affordable first aid training in the community and since then has made it her mission to train all Australians to be ready for an emergency. Types of First Aid Courses
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
(Includes HLTAID010 provide basic emergency life support & HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
Throughout South Australia, our most popular course is HLTAID011 Provide First Aid. This course will not only help you develop the first aid skills to assist with over 22 common injuries and illnesses, but it will also help you to deliver a CPR response and cover the contents of HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support.
You most often require this course for employment unless you work with young children and infants. It will help you become certified as a qualified first aider and allow you to provide assistance in situations from an asthma attack to anaphylaxis, burns, cuts and more. Our accredited first aid and CPR course will allow you to feel confident to take on any situation thrown your way.
Learn face-to-face over 5 hours or choose to complete the majority of your work online before heading into a training venue near you to practice what you’ve learnt under the guidance and supervision of a qualified instructor. The practical element of the online course takes 2 hours and is mandatory to pass the first aid course.
HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR as it is more commonly known teaches you how to perform a series of chest compressions, breaths and utilise an AED to help someone who is suffering from a cardiac arrest or has stopped breathing. This course will help you feel confident responding to high-pressure situations, and you may become equipped to save lives!
An emergency can strike at any time, and most people do not survive a cardiac arrest outside of hospitals due to not enough people being trained in CPR. We can change this within just 2 hours or less! With online and face-to-face options, you can get to grips with hands-on experience using Mannikins and receive guidance from our instructors.
HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
If you work in education or childcare, then this course is specifically tailored to you. HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting is designed to teach you CPR and First Aid and help you learn about the various ailments and injuries that affect infants and young children. The course takes an in-depth look at asthma and anaphylaxis, and you will use infant CPR manikins. Learn over 7 hours in our face-to-face option or just 2 hours after studying online.
This course can also be helpful for parents who wish to learn more about what to do if their child becomes involved in an emergency whilst in their care.
MHFA- Mental Health First Aid
FirstAidPro’s Mental Health First Aid Course is accredited by Mental Health First Aid Australia. Over two days, you will learn how to identify the signs and symptoms that someone around you is experiencing mental health issues. It will also discuss how to seek help and where. With suicide rates on the rise, there has never been a more pressing time to help those around you.

Accessing Your Course
Shortly after you’ve confirmed your course, you will be sent an email with your login details for the portal. Your login portal will contain your mandatory pre-reading and quiz. If you have selected an online course, you will also need to complete online learning as well. Your online work needs to be completed before your practical assessment takes place. You will not receive your certification until both practical and online elements are complete.
